Origins
My career in finance began in the City of London, where I held roles at some of the world’s most respected institutions, including Santander, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Wealth Management, BBC, and WPP.
In those environments, I developed a deep grounding in financial reporting, investment structures, and client relationship management that continues to shape everything I do.
The Africa Pivot
But my heart and ambition were always rooted in Africa. In 2005, I co-founded the Kenya Club UK, a platform for Kenyan professionals in the diaspora to channel capital and influence back home.
That same year, I led the first Diaspora Banking Survey, shining a light on the enormous remittance flows into Kenya and the untapped potential they represented. I saw a gap, and I chose to fill it.
Building Platforms
Over the years that followed, I built and scaled businesses across agritrade, consulting, and diaspora services.
I worked alongside the Commonwealth Business Council on youth employment in Africa, advised Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on diaspora engagement, and partnered with Jaguar Land Rover to skill Kenya’s Jua Kali mechanics through the Africa Mechanics Trust.
Each initiative reinforced a single conviction: Africa’s growth is unstoppable when the right capital, networks, and expertise come together.
Today
Today, through Diaspora Services Ltd (DSL) and my personal advisory practice, I work with high-net-worth individuals, diaspora firms, entrepreneurs, and institutions to raise capital, structure investments, build strategy, and navigate the complexities of doing business across Africa.
I bring 15+ years of international experience, ACCA qualifications, and a global network spanning public, private, and multilateral sectors.
